Discover gastronomy in the heart of the Drôme and Vercors regions
Discover the region’s gastronomic specialties, from appetizers to entrees. If you’re coming from Valence, we recommend a stop in Chabeuil, for a bite of caillette, a pâté that blends pork and chopped herbs. Generally speaking, you’ll easily find quality charcuterie in the region. And for sausage lovers, don’t hesitate to visit the charcuterie at Col des Limouches.
You’ll also have the opportunity to discover sumptuous dishes such as ravioles du Dauphiné. Thinner than a ravioli, it’s a small square of dough filled with cheese and parsley that can be made into a salad, poached in water, or au gratin.
You can also discover Clairette de Die, the sparkling wine with fruity aromas that is the main production of Diois winegrowers.

Also discover the region’s cheese specialties, including Picodon, a PDO goat’s cheese made from whole raw milk, and Saint-Marcellin, a small round cheese made from cow’s milk.
You can also visit Montélimar and taste its delicious nougats when you arrive at the Chatillon-en-Diois campsite.
For those with a sweet tooth, the region has other specialties for you to discover. If you like orange blossom, you can try the pogne, which is a brioche, or the suisse (a Valencian speciality), which is a small shortbread cookie both crunchy and soft, also with orange blossom.
